CSCE Younger Members Committee
Activities thus far in 2011

March 2011 - The Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers Younger Members Committee hosted a food drive at the regular CSCE March dinner meeting. Although it was on short notice, several members of the University of New Haven Student Chapter helped out and we were able to collect 73 lbs of food. All proceeds benefited Foodshare, which provides food to local partner agencies throughout greater Hartford. This was the first food drive that has been held in recent memory, and we plan to have it grow into an annual event.

Several members of the Committee have also volunteered at the regional and state MathCounts competitions that were held over the past two months.

The CSCE Younger Members Committee encourages the full professional development of engineers who are 35 years of age or younger and endeavors to increase their participation in CSCE and ASCE activities. Please contact Sara Ramsbottom, Younger Members Committee Chair and CSCE Newsletter Editor, at youngermembers@csce.org for more information about the activities of this Committee.
